Because Tupac did not start Hip Hop.
Don’t go on some long ass tangent about Hip Hop if you aren’t educated and versed in the roots and different facets of Hip Hop. Tupac is not all you need to shut an argument down.
If you have an appreciation for the music and life of Tupac and a legitimate knowledge, love and appreciation of Hip Hop feel free to rep ya set.

This has been a disappointing week in Hip-Hop
The same people crying about the game is wack and radio rappers suck and just a lot of bitching in general talk out they ass apparently.
Apparently Rap & Hip-Hop are just popularity contests these days.
Angel Haze & Cassidy unleashed lyrical bitch slaps on Azealia Banks and Meek Mills respectively and all most people can say is that they’re nobodies trying to make a name…
Meek fans been tweeting “Give it up broke nigga” “get a job” “hang it up” etc. Ignoring the fact that in terms of flow, lyricism, and punch Cassidy definitely got a second round knockout against Meek.
Same with Angel Haze. Take the homophobic & colorist backlash out of the equation. Just focus on the music that was delivered. When it came to lyricism, flow & digging up dirt Banks was demolished against Haze.
And she wrote it in 30 minutes.
But all Banks & her fans could say was that Haze was below Banks and trying to make a name off of beefing with Banks, despite both women being signed to Major Labels, industry buzz and having strong fanbases.
When the only thing that matters to music fans is relevance and monetary success the game is in trouble
When 50 Cent came in the game busting shots at everybody it didn’t matter then.
When Baltimore female rapper Keys, eviscerated Nicki Minaj with a freestyle she recorded on a Baltimore corner Hip-Hop rejoiced and the blogs lit up
Way back when Roxanne Shante debuted dissing UTFO with “Roxanne’s Revenge” (and starting one of Hip-Hops first beefs on the process) it went on to become the stuff of Hip-Hop legend.
The histories of rap & hip-hop are layered with similar examples
In a time where it’s almost become trendy to whine about how wack industry rappers are why is it that when competent MCs step up to battle, fans check their “status” and finances before awarding them points/a victory?
